Our first musically animated tree, which dates back to 1984! Originally it had several thousand mini lights (hence all of the smaller holes in this 3/4 inch thick plywood cut out). After a few years of having to restain the colors of the minilights (the blue ones annually), I got very tired of that process, and redrilled the tree for C7 bulbs. Those were used for a number of years, with this tree requiring its own 20 amp circuit, until being able to replace the incandescent C7s with dimmable C7 LEDs. Now it uses almost no electricity!

A shot of our blowmold choir during the day. The girl carolers are sopranos, the boy carolers are broken down into bass and tenors. All are synchronized to the music.

A shot of our train. Both signals (which are synchronized with each other), and the smoke from the engine are electronically animated based on some circuits I designed..

The animated angel wireframe is mounted on our small 20 foot tower (on the left side of the picture). Connecting that tower to our mid sized one that has the snowflake mounted on it (on the right side of the picture) is aircraft cable supporting the Merry Xmas sign, which is sequenced electronically for different effects. It is not sequenced to the music, but runs independently.
